October 2015 Civil Exam (CSE-PPT): What are the requirements? Plus Reviewer Materials

The second wave of examinees for the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Professional and SubProfessional Examination – Paper Pencil Test, is coming to beat the 180,000 who took the examination last May 3rd of this year. The CSC announced that the second written examination of 2015 is scheduled to be administered on the 18th of October and it is expected that there will be a lot of examinees since the Certificate of Eligibility from the Civil Service Commission is one of the basic requirements in order to apply in any position in the government.


The application period to those who are interested runs from May 25th to the 3rd of September. It should be filed in person at any CSC Regional Field Offices where the examination is intended to be taken. You must be Filipino citizens (those who have dual citizenship is also allowed to take the exam), of at least 18 years old and who have not taken the same test within three months prior to the scheduled examination are only allowed to apply. The examination fee for Professional and SubProfessional Levels is ₱500. Additionally, if it so happened that the CSC already reached the target number of application before the 3rd of September, unfortunately, any application will no longer be accepted.

The following is a list of requirements needed in the application for the said:

* Fully accomplished application form (CS Form No. 100 Revised November 2012).  The spaces for “Signature of Applicant” and “Right Thumbmark” on the form should be left blank.  These shall be accomplished in the presence of the CSC processor.

 *Four (4) copies of identical pictures, taken within the last three (3) months prior to filing of application and  with specification as follows:
    - Philippine passport size, colored with white background
    - in bare face with neutral facial expression taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
    - with full and handwritten  name tag in the format: First Name, Middle Initial, Last Name, and Extension Name, if any  and signature over printed name,
     
*Original and photocopy of any valid ID containing applicant’s clear picture, date of birth, signature, and signature of the authorized head of the issuing agency such as Driver’s License, SSS ID, GSIS ID, Philhealth ID, current Company/Office ID, current School ID, Postal ID, BIR ID, Barangay ID, Voter’s ID, Valid Passport, or Police Clearance (Note:  Any other ID not included in the list shall NOT be accepted.)
        - IDs lacking information, particularly the applicant’s date of birth, should be supported by Birth Certificate issued/authenticated by the National Statistics Office (NSO) or Local Civil Registrar (LCR).

If you already have all the requirements mentioned, hurry and go now to the nearest CSC regional Field Office and file your application.This examination might be difficult, however, there’s no harm in chasing your luck. Who knows, you will be one of the passers of this October 2015 CSC examination.
