BE A CANDIDATE SOLDIER or OFFICER IN THE PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE
If you dream to serve the country, join the PAF, you can be a candidate soldier and the apply for it the application form can be access here. But first bear in mind that just like the other fields of the AFP like the army, navy, marines etc., for beginners, cadets and aspirants, you will have to undergo training if you pass the exam.All requirements must be meet as well.
PAF CANDIDATE SOLDIER Qualifications:
- Male or Female natural born citizen of the Republic of the Philippines
- Educational Attainment: At least 72 college units
- Height: 5’0 for both male and female (Indigenous People/Member should submit certification from National Commission on Indigenous People Main Office)
- Age: Must be 18 to 23 years old at the time of enlistment or before graduation date
- Single and no legal obligation to support a child or children
- Physically and mentally fit for military training
- With good moral character
PAF OFFICER CANDIDATE Qualifications:
- Male or Female natural born citizen of the Republic of the Philippines
- Educational Attainment: Must be a baccalaureate degree holder
- Height: 5’0 for both male and female (Indigenous People/Member should submit certification from National Commission on Indigenous People Main Office)
- Age: 21 to 29 Years Old upon admission for training.
- Single and no legal obligation to support a child or children
- Physically and mentally fit for military training
- With good moral character
Initial Requirements: (Must be submitted before the day of examination)
- Fully Accomplished Application Form
- Authenticated Photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate
- Authenticated Photocopy of Transcript of Records
- Two (2) pcs 2x2 Picture with White Background

From the application form, physical defects such as the following would demerit or disqualify the application:
- Tattoo
- Obesity
- Pierced ear/s for males and extra piercing for females
- Crossed eyedness
- Bow leggedness
- Excess/lacking finger
PAF Application and Training Procedures:
(1) Fill out the application form properly and correctly. You may submit photocopies of your NSO birth certificate and TOR but I suggest you also bring the original copies to prove their authenticity.(2) If you have passed the written examination, you will be asked to submit additional documents and requirements for reference like NBI clearance, marriage contract of parents, etc. You’ll also need to pass a Physical Fitness Test which includes push ups, sit ups, and 3.2km run.
(3) CS applicants who will pass the written examinations and who will be included in the qualified applicants to be processed will be notified to report at their Processing Centers for their Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
(3) PAFOC applicants who will pass the written examinations will be notified to report at PAFPMC for the Special Written Exam (SWE)
The CS is a rigid six-month training at the Basic Military Training School (BMTS) of the Air Education and Training Command in Fernando Air Base, Lipa City.
Those who will be able to hurdle the course are automatically part of the Air Force Enlisted Personnel Corps as an airman or airwoman, ready for assignment to different PAF units across the archipelago. (WLB/CLJD-PIA 3)
