Applicants for both level must:
1.Be Filipino citizens, at least 18 years old, and of good moral character;
2. Have no criminal record or have not convicted by final judgement of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
3. Have not been dishonorably discharged from military service or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government; and
4. Have not taken the same level of career service examination within three (3) months from the last examination taken.
The CSC clear up that there is NO MORE limit in taking the Career Service Examinations. An individual may consistently take the number of times failed, provided that the examinee takes the same level of examination once in every three months.

If you choose to take an exam in Sub-professional level the coverage of the exam is almost similar with the Professional Level exam, the only difference is that Analogy and the Logic are not included in this level but is replaced with Clerical Operation questions.

PASSING RATE

You are not permitted to use calculator during the examination period but don’t be worried don’t need to become a math expert to be able to solve math problems but you must need to study, review and practice before entering the designated examination areas. For professional level examinees will only given 3 hours and 10 minutes to answer 170 items time starts from 8:00 AM to 11:10 AM and for sub-professional examinees will only given 2 hours and 40 minutes to answer 165 items time starts from 8:00 AM to 10:40 AM.
